Sustainability update and thank you to Friends of WHS

With regular eco strategy meetings involving staff and students, we are moving ahead with our sustainability plan...

"The senior hall was full to the brim of excited students last week as we launched our first ever eco clothes swap! (We've had sales before but this was a slightly different concept.) It was amazing to see all year groups being so enthusiastic to get involved, and we are thrilled that we raised enough money for our new WWF animal adoption scheme. We can’t wait to bring the clothes swap back next year, with sales planned for each term so that we can all continue to revel in the joys of sustainable fashion!"

And, as a result of the fundraising by the Friends of Wimbledon High this academic year, we are delighted to be able to invest in further greening of the school site.  Over the Summer, we are planning to create a garden in front of the Science block on the Mansel Road side of the school to mirror the development outside the new Sixth Form Centre. Thank you to everyone on the FoWHS committee and beyond for all your support this year.

In addition this year, Friends of WHS have contributed to the purchase of indoor cricket nets for the benefit of Junior and Senior students.
