Fantastic Language Achievements!

We are so proud of our students studying languages here at WHS...
 

Year 10 student, Homare S. has won the first prize for the ISMLA (Independent Schools Modern Languages Association) Original Writing Competition in the GCSE Mandarin category. She wrote a review on a famous Chinese poem “A song of flakes 咏雪” by Zheng Banqiao, in which she analysed and appraised the poem.

We are also delighted that Caroline Y. in Year 12, was commended for her creative writing in the A Level German category. Once again, our linguists do us proud! You will be able to read their excellent contributions in the upcoming edition of Linguistica.
