On Monday we held our annual Christmas Tree Assembly, though this time live streamed from the Senior Hall.
To open the assembly, Head Ms Kennedy addressed the school, pointing out that the tradition of this assembly was definitely one of the weird and wonderful things about Wimbledon High School (read in full on the Head's Blog).
There followed a spectacular festive performance of 'Jingle Bells' by the Sign Language Club and our musicians, and the singing of 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing' before we heard from special guests from the local charities that we have been supporting with donations of toys and essentials (photos on Instagram) for the Christmas period: Merton & Morden Guild, Wimbledon Guild, Faith in Action and Home-Start UK (with Juniors collecting supermarket vouchers and toiletries for Wimbledon Foodbank).
Of course, we could not have ended our Christmas Tree Assembly without the traditional performance of '12 Days of Christmas' by pupils across the school, from our Year 1 aged Partridge to the Year 12 Drummers!
