Success at British National Championships

We are delighted to share that Hannah K in Year 9 now has a World Tennis Association ranking, having had a successful couple of weeks over the Easter holidays at the British National Championships.

She won the 16U singles and doubles and was runner up in the 18U singles. Hannah was very close to also winning the 18U singles. She was a set and 3-1 up when the rain came and they had to move to the indoor courts which are much faster than the outdoor ones and favoured her opponent unfortunately, who then turned the match around and won 3-6 6-3 6-3.  It was a great battle!

At just 14, this success has secured Hannah a wildcard into junior Wimbledon. We  are so proud of Hannah - massive congratulations to her and er will report back as her tennis career progresses.
