Fitting 240 people on stage is certainly a feat of engineering but getting 240 people to play the epic Tiko Tiko with tempo changes broke the laws of physics.

The concert on Wednesday night was amazing to watch, and incredible to be part of. Whether it was Baroque ensemble, who had everyone hooked by their Vivaldi,  the junior choir, who melted everyone’s hearts, or Mr Ford and his harpsichord, it was such an unbelievable night!

Opening with ‘Mambo’ set the scene for the concert ahead! It was full of fun and even amidst the mild chaos of a slightly dysfunctional (brand new!) bass drum, we managed to pull through. The spirit and energy of the night were probably the highlights for me. It was joyous, creative, and filled with legendary solos and orchestral pieces that produced such an emotional evening.

We owe our thanks and eternal gratitude to Mr Ford, the music Dept and the incredible Year 13s - it was so moving to see it all come together, even the trickier bits of people jumping from instrument to instrument. What a night!
